DEEP FREEZE

Add to Cart
It was -28F when this big bull bison was making his way through Yellowstone National Park on a November morning. The air was so cold that the bull had ice on his eyelashes and each time he took a breath the vapor he produced froze around his nose and mouth. Bison are made for this type of weather and can withstand cold temperatures, in excess of -40F, but even knowing this, it didn't stop me from worrying about how this big bull would fare during the frigid Wyoming winter.
