THE MIGHTY HUNTER

Add to Cart
The long-tailed weasel is an exceptional hunter, often killing prey much larger than itself by seizing the prey animal by the throat and wrestling it to the ground. This weasel was found hunting amongst a colony of pikas, small rock-dwelling cousins of rabbits. Pikas, along with mice, squirrels, shrews and rats, make up the majority of the weasel's diet in the high country of Yellowstone.
